I searched online for a drive installation (not sure of the name, firmware?) to download with no success. When I insert a DVD now, it reads the DVD, and then the drive disappears/will no longer appear/be recognized under 'This PC.' When I remove the DVD, the drive shows up/is recognized again. I insert a DVD, which I was able to play movies using it before. The computer shows it's connected/recognizes the drive. I tried using it twice now, after the fact. I'm not sure if resetting may have affected anything. Got this as a Christmas gift from my parents since the CD-ROM stopped working on my laptop and it was cheaper to get a portable DVD player than to fix my. I got home and I recently reset my computer to factory default prior to using the drive (Settings>Update & Security>Reset This PC>Remove Everything). I can't remember if it came with a drive disk to install.
